My friend used to be the designer for Anthro in Philly (flagship store). They hire the most talented, creative, out-of-the-box geniuses.

I totally agree. Best windows of any store for years and years. Happy to have one just a few blocks away.

Some write beautiful descriptions; others take photos and remind the rest of us to look at them. A quotable quote from my friend, Joy Overstreet: "Put yourself in the way of beauty."

Ha! Thanks for the reminder. Taking photos can also be a lazy person's way to share an impression without using words. I'd like to do better with the words part.

Nah nah nah. Na na na na na. Nah nah nah. See fingers in ears blocking out all the political noise.

I really don’t think it’s worth the time and agony to try and figure out what they Might do! Unless you create a plan on how to resist their actions. But it seems to me, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE, you will be assimilated. Haha

When you’re out in the in a storm, what do you do? It’s a power beyond your control. You tightly secure all the sails, button down the hatches, and go below to weather the storm, knowing that you will be lucky to live through it, and then probably need to replace the mast and do many other serious repairs.

This is a Perfect Storm of Stupidity that 51% ?? of the voters put into power. And it’s gonna hurt! Hurt more than anyone might predict.

Hopefully the death toll of this storm will be minimal, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I know. I know. I just want to make an accounting of it. E.B. White railed against political idiocy too, so at least I'm in good company.

Joy, very good piece you’ve written. Unrelated question: have you read Looking for a Ship by John McPhee? Maybe these guys should be keel-hauled by the hero.

I love McPhee, but have not read Looking for a Ship. Yet. Keelhauling might be perfect. If we could get them all on a boat...
