This was indeed a breath of fresh air to read. I am looking forward to our own encounter with the grands, and their parents. We get them after Christmas this year. Yes, there is a swirl of unpleasant news about the incoming political climate. I'm just shaking mt head.......
Loved reading your post! What a beautiful reprieve from all the crazy! We are big Lego fans at my house. My daughter in medical school rewards herself at the end of each block with a new Lego creation!
Smart daughter! I wish I’d had Lego as a kid. My grandkids are so quick to figure out how to make something come together and their fingers are nimble, compared to me.
Lovely post - you articulated beautifully the same sense of post election peace and calm I experienced by spending Thanksgiving with my daughter and her family on Cape Cod!
My daughter Stacy and her husband Carl just bought a lovely house in Sandwich which is right over the Sagamore bridge at the beginning of the Cape. I'm looking forward to spending some time there with them this summer!
I believe Dave Barry wrote an epic piece "How to Make a Board". I remember going to the copy center to Xerox it to send to my dad. Standing in line behind another woman doing the exact same thing! (Back in the days when you had to go to a copy place...)

Sooo grateful for this time of respite!

Love the iridescent bugs
Me too! You ought to see the rest of the show, if you think those are amazing... worth looking him up: Christopher Marley
What a great holiday!
It was! So glad to be together and too busy to think about the outside world. I'll be alone for Christmas, so this was a double delight.

Ohh... one of my favorite places on the planet! Spent summers at my Grandma's in No Falmouth. Cousins still live there.

Ahem, I expect your new Board will service as literary metaphor for a *future* newsletter...

Sounds like you had a wonderful, exciting time. We had a new baby to help celebrate. I will send some pictures to your email.
Oh please do! That's thrilling! Congratulations!
